As the worldwide renowned designer behind iconic masterpieces such as the Bvlgari Serpenti Tubogas and the Jacob & Co. Astronomia Sky, his deep-rooted expertise in haute horlogerie acts as the driving force behind the SUPERVELOCE T030S. This project perfectly showcases his unparalleled ability to merge intricate mechanical artistry with avant-garde design, leaving no doubt as to the masterful hands steering this new era of watchmaking. Breaking away from traditional multi-layered watch building, the design integrates the dial and the movement’s mainplate into a single, cohesive monocoque structural body. Inspired by the classic tonneau shape—deeply rooted in Swiss watchmaking heritage—the T030S reinterprets this silhouette through a radically contemporary, aerodynamic language. There is no compromise between form and function; the case acts as a Formula 1 body, while the hand-assembled movement serves as its roaring engine.
A 30-Second "Super Tourbillon" Engine At the heart of this structural marvel beats the Super Tourbillon. Engineered for high-speed visual impact and precision, the high-inertia flying tourbillon completes a full rotation in just 30 seconds—twice the speed of a traditional tourbillon. This rapid rotation explicitly evokes the mechanics of a high-revving racing engine positioned directly at the core of the caliber. The unprecedented architecture of the movement features a technical solution that unites two of the most complex complications in haute horlogerie for the first time in this configuration: the high-speed flying tourbillon and a retrograde minutes/seconds chronograph, where hands snap back instantly like a high-precision pit stop mechanism.
